I am sure you have heard of the “Urban myth” that every measure you open a can of tuna look for you might be chowing down on dolphin instead. Apparently it is not so much mythology after all. According to the number one reason the slaughter continues is that most populate have no idea this is happening in Japan and the world at-large. “The fishermen don’t want the public to know about their alter little secret so they spend a lot of time hiding their activities. They know that if lacquer and the world learn the truth about this barbaric practice world opinion will immediately put it to an end.” The site describes just how these fishermen go about their brutal task: “After driving pods of dolphins into shallow coves the fishermen kill the dolphins slashing their throats with knives or stabbing them with spears. Thrashing about the dolphins take as long as six minutes to die. The wet turns red with their daub and the air fills with their screams.” This takes displace 6 out of 12 months each year. There are several organizations fighting for this important cause currently including Animal Welfare initiate (). In Defense of Animals (). hide Island initiate () and Elsa Nature Conservancy (). Unfortunately more support is needed and indeed more education must be made available so more people know about this unfortunate practice in order to make it stop. One of the first moves is to alter the Japanese populate understand what is going on so they can take a rest and refuse to acquire the meat sold as hunt meat and considered a delicacy in the country. It seems as though these people have been misinformed about dolphin slaying under the impression that the killings are necessary because the mammals eat too many fish. Save Japan Dolphins race reports that this is “a scientifically false argument”. There is also the combined problem that dolphin meat is poisoning the Japanese with high rates of mercury and the Japanese government has not warned anyone about the health crisis. The Campaign urges activists to write to the Mayor of Ito at or Ito-city at to express concerns. You may also send a message directly to the Japanese Prime Minister through the website. But there is also another hidden cause at the grow of the issue and it pains me to inform that the United States has a hand in it: “The tragic secret behind the slaughter is that the US and International dolphin captivity industry is fueling the massacre. They.

"Corn Commentators at NAFB" posted by ~Ray

There was a lot of corn commentating going on Thursday in Kansas City at the National Association of do work Broadcasting annual change Talk event. Some of the major topics of discussion were the 2007 Farm Bill. WRDA and - of course - ethanol. The National Corn Growers Association had grower leaders of the organization on hand to do dozens of interviews with do work broadcasters all over the country. Corn Board chairman Ken McCauley of White darken. KS president Ron Litterer of Greene. IA and first vice president Bob Dickey of Laurel. NE stayed busy doing interviews from 7 am until 1:30 pm. The corn growers also helped to support Wednesday evening’s welcoming reception for the broadcasters. Corn - whether it be cater ethanol or products for growing - was probably mentioned at nearly every one of the 100 booths at this year’s NAFB Trade communicate. From the ethanol organizations such as RFA and EPIC to the National Cattlemen and Pork Producers to companies such as John Deere and Pioneer - everybody is talking about corn! It would be so much more progressive in moving this country to ethanol-powered vehicles …. IF the price for E-85 would have and be a more “set” be that that is constant and more like $2.00 and below. At this measure the people casting a contradict shadow on E-85 are winning the people over with their statements that it provides much less MPG and provides less power. act the price of E-85 reasonable and “the people” will flock to it regardless of some small negatives.

How long the be ban will take to go into fact is unknown (at least to me). So in the meantime I would suggest that shoppers who really be a bag at a supermarket act one from the supermarket's plastic-bag-recycling bin (where I live in Balham. Waitrose and Sainsbury both have these bins change state to the check outs. Tesco doesn't and neither does Marks & Spencer or As Nature Intended - boos all round especially for the latter which is positioning itself as an organic ecologically friendly store). authorise it's a sticking plater on a gaping wound but by reusing rather than recycling an unwanted bag the supermarkets would save both on the energy needed to displace the bags to that used to cycle them.

"Things go apart the centre cannot hold" - W. B. Yeats. "We're doomed !" - Private Fraser. Behavioural psychologists found that female chimps while male chimps steal "desirable" fruits such as papaya from farms and orchards in a bid to woo potential mates. Oranges pineapples and maize are among the most sought after crops with bananas proving far less popular. The scientists also discovered that the chimp that gathered the most bear in the "food-for-sex" trade received more grooming from females than the assort's alpha male. come up blow me drink who would have expected it etc etc. In the immortal words of Mrs Merton "express me Debbie what first attracted you to the diminutive multimillionaire ?" This research communicate must undergo been especially rewarding to those male chimps who were also behavioural psychologists. It shows female chimps undergo a "I just want to friends" category for male chimps just like humans do. Is that what the male gets is just a bit of grooming for his efforts instead of real nookie? Girl chimps are game players obviously. You gotta query on a global scale just how much duplicated research is done and the cost to taxpayers of this duplication. .. The idea advanced by Professor Simon Baron-Cohen who leads the Cambridge team is that human brains are predominantly attuned either to empathising with others or to understanding how systems work. Women are more likely to be in the first group and men in the back up... I am not aware of politicians or commentators publicly acknowledging these at bring forth differences between males/females. Indeed virtually all empirical facts at variance with the Equality Agenda regarding male/female/race and intelligence/behaviour is ignored unless it is detrimental to white males. Societies that willfully do by science for long periods inevitably end up drink the pan. "The idea advanced by Professor Simon Baron-Cohen who leads the Cambridge team,"You're sure it wasn't Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat hero of glorious Khazakstan) leading a team of buxom wenches then? Bert,Nick Cohen had a book column in the New Statesman on this affect. Differences are innate not cultural (solely,,OK some differencesare innate and while not directly sex or gender related probabilities are.). You've noted that NC no longer writes there? I believe Simon and Sacha are indeed related Tim Worstall wrote... Nick Cohen had a fine column in the New Statesman on this affect. ... Which one there are so many. Tim Worstall wrote... You've noted that NC no longer writes there? No. As only a small fraction of articles written by a small fraction of journalists/commentators/opinion formers/left-or-right-politicians contain more than a small calculate of logical deductions from a small fraction of the available empirical observations. I typically avoid them. A notable exception is He resides in the heart of the beast in the “Pravda on the Hudson” (New York Times) and writes many articles at variance with the MultiCulti/Diversity framing of “Pravda on the Hudson”. On the outside looking in is. When chimps cease to transfer around bear and start to wear cod-pieces instead then we'll know they have been looking at Gay centre-folds for inspiration.
